This blog has been created to allow me to draw together the content from my everyday blog - - to form more succinct arguments as to why we need effective regulation of print media. It aims to look at ‘the disinformed’, by which I mean the people whose perceptions of the world around them are false because they are victims of the purposeful dissemination of propaganda from agenda-driven media organisations. This blog will look at how the most dangerous media narratives are created and will attempt to address its victims, allowing them to see how they have become victims of media disinformation.
The premise of this blog is that bad journalism is no longer the case of misinformation – the accidental dissemination of false information or lies; but rather bad journalism is the producer of disinformation – the intentional and cynical publication of false information for political reasons.
This blog will only be updated sporadically due to the nature of what is attempting to be written here. Please read for my normal media blogging and to keep up with the project.
